A capture-to-onboarding system for a product with no front door.

A GIS SaaS startup had a finished product and no way to capture or onboard users by email. I built the whole front door in MailerLite.

The challenge

CrossCut had a ready product, catchment maps that worked, but no way to capture interested users or onboard them by email. A good product with no front door collects no list and converts no one. The gap was not the software. It was everything around it.

What I built

I built the full acquisition and onboarding system in MailerLite, from the page that captures interest to the automation that welcomes people in.

  • A two-panel landing page with a frequency preference built in
  • An in-app pop-up form to capture users inside the product
  • A welcome automation that fires on completion
  • Preference-led list architecture so segments are clean from day one

The problem

  • A finished product with no email front door
  • No way to capture interested users
  • No onboarding once someone signed up

The result

  • A full capture-to-onboarding system live
  • Preference-led list architecture from the start
  • Welcome automation running on completion

Welcome automation

The system turns a product with no front door into one that captures interest and onboards it automatically. Building preference into the signup means the list is segmented from the first contact, not cleaned up later. That is the difference between a list you can use and a pile of addresses.

Have a product but no way to capture interest?

A clean capture-to-onboarding system is the front door your product is missing.
